WATCH AND BE READY — PREPARING FOR THE COMING OF CHRIST

Introduction

Jesus repeatedly instructed His followers to watch and be ready.

The Christian life is not a temporary commitment. We are called to remain faithful until the end.

The Message

Readiness is demonstrated through daily obedience.

To be ready means that we are not deliberately living in rebellion against God while claiming to be waiting for Christ.

It means keeping our faith active, our hearts humble, our lives clean, and our priorities centered on God.

Readiness also involves serving others.

Jesus taught that faithful servants remain prepared for their master’s return. They do not become careless simply because the master appears to be delayed.

Christ’s apparent delay should never become an excuse for spiritual laziness.

1. Live ready every day.
2. Do not postpone repentance.
3. Continue serving God faithfully.
4. Keep your relationship with Christ strong.
5. Let the hope of Christ’s return influence how you live today.

Conclusion

We do not know the exact day or hour of Christ’s return.

But we know that He has promised to come again.

Therefore, let us watch. Let us pray. Let us remain faithful. Let us walk in holiness. Let us love one another. Let us stand in truth.

May we be found faithful when our Lord comes.
