THE DANGER OF SPIRITUAL DECEPTION

Introduction

Jesus warned His followers about deception, particularly in the last days.

Deception is dangerous because it often does not look like deception at first.

The Message

False teaching can sound attractive. It may promise power, prosperity, instant answers, or special spiritual knowledge.

This is why believers must remain grounded in Scripture.

We should not follow every new doctrine simply because it is popular or presented with confidence.

Spiritual deception can also occur when people place human traditions above God’s Word.

The solution is not fear. The solution is truth.

A believer who knows Scripture, studies carefully, prays for wisdom, and remains humble is better equipped to recognize error.
