WHEN FAITH IS TESTED — STANDING FIRM IN DIFFICULT SEASONS

Introduction

Every believer will experience difficult seasons. Faith does not mean that we will never face problems.

Faith means that we continue trusting God even when circumstances are difficult.

The Message

Trials can reveal the strength and condition of our faith.

When everything is going well, it may be easy to say that we trust God. The deeper test comes when prayers seem unanswered, doors close, plans change, or difficulties continue.

Job experienced tremendous loss, yet he continued to acknowledge God.

Difficult seasons do not mean that God has abandoned us.

Sometimes God changes our circumstances. Sometimes He changes us while we remain in the circumstances.

Either way, we must remain faithful.

Lessons

1. Do not measure God’s presence by your circumstances.

2. Keep praying even when answers seem delayed.

3. Allow trials to develop perseverance.

4. Do not abandon God because of a difficult season.

Conclusion

Your difficult season is not the end of your story.

Continue trusting God. Continue praying. Continue obeying. Continue standing.
