THE UNKNOWN — TRUSTING GOD WITH WHAT WE CANNOT SEE

Introduction

Life is filled with uncertainties. We cannot predict what will happen tomorrow, next week, or even in the next moment.

As human beings, we naturally crave answers. We yearn to know what lies ahead, what God has planned, when events will unfold, and how situations will resolve. Yet, God has chosen not to reveal everything to us.

Embracing the unknown offers us a profound opportunity to cultivate trust.

The Message

God possesses knowledge beyond our grasp. He sees both the beginning and the end simultaneously. What is concealed from us is fully known to Him.

Deuteronomy 29:29 reminds us that some matters belong solely to God, while what He has revealed is ours to understand. This principle teaches us not to seek knowledge that God has chosen to withhold.

There is a significant distinction between seeking God’s guidance and attempting to control the future.

God provides His Word to guide our actions today. While He may not disclose every detail about tomorrow, He instructs us on how to walk faithfully in the present.

James 4 cautions us against assuming we have control over tomorrow. Our plans should always be submitted to God’s will.

Faith does not demand complete understanding. Rather, faith is trusting God even when we lack all the answers.
